I didn't love this book. The authors for some reason decided to take a different direction with this story than in past books of the series. It was not as thrilling as White Fire and did not reveal much more about the ever-mysterious Pendergast.

I like this book because Poehler really drives home that actors and performers don't become famous overnight, herself included. There is a lot of hard work involved to get to that point. Yet she remains humble and grateful for all of her opportunities and takes the time to appreciate the people she loves and who helped her get to where she is. You will laugh out loud and, if you didn't already, walk away from this book thinking Amy Poehler is an awesome person.I like this book because Poehler really drives home that actors and performers don't become famous overnight, herself included. The first book in one of my all-time favorite mystery series. Pendergast is a singular character, unlike any I have encountered in other works. The New York Museum of Natural History is a character in itself in this series, gothic and creepy. The book is way better than the made-forTV movie so check it out!The first book in one of my all-time favorite mystery series. Introvert, party of 1! Do you like to stay home on a Friday night and read or watch movies with your cat? Do you dine out or go to movies alone? It's not weird at all! Cain brings to light what I always knew was true; introverts are stronger intellectually for all their lack of participation socially. Finally, a book that can help explain to others why it is important to let introverts be who they are instead of trying to change them into extroverts. Also, Cain has some good tips on how to push the comfort zones for both types.Introvert, party of 1! Do you like to stay home on a Friday night and read or watch movies with your cat? Massie writes about Catherine as if she were a Kardashian. Though her life is well-known to history, Massie invites the reader into a world filled with lust, power, and intrigue that will have you flipping pages faster than a James Patterson novel.
