Add a CommentJames Doss's last book before he passed in 2012 - he'll be missed
I too find it annoying when the author talks to the reader. And I found his last book Coffin Man had a pretty weak ending. I'll give this one a chance to see if Doss is back to the old Charlie Moon series I used to enjoy.
I used to like the Charlie Moon mysteries, but no longer. I find the author overuses foreshadowing, being clever as the narrator, adding asides that are more annoying (to me) than helpful. I won't be reading any more of this series.
