OK as a historically based novel but annoying when the characters are speaking about contemporaries mindful that you are reading this book and might not be aware (too dumb?) that Anne they mentioned is the Boleyn so they use full titles for your benefit. A little too modern in tone and language for my taste.

Excellent novel. Very readable- really liked the writing style. The author speculates and invents details about certain characters, but it's a work of fiction and she admits to doing so. She provided a timeline in the back of the book which is useful.
