When Deliverance finds a blank book under the furniture, she endeavors to keep a diary about her life at Salem Farms in 1691 and 1692. The odd occurrences that she starts to write about soon turn into a very frightening and deadly outcome. And although Deliverance tries to keep a cool head, others around her are becoming more determined to find and destroy the witches that they feel are at the heart of all their troubles. Gossip and hatred lead to the destruction of lives, and soon she is afraid that she will be the next one accused. This book deals with prejudice and hatred in a most gripping narrative that leads the reader to the shocking conclusion. Another fine addition in the Dear America series.
