Those, like myself, who pick up this novel after having read Medicine Walk (a truly magnificent work) may find themselves at a loss to describe their reaction. As expected, this is strong medicine, the kind that may well be beneficial but…

It's an excellent book that talks about a difficult subject. Beautifully written and the way the story unfolds draws you in, and still lead to a surprising turn of events. I enjoy reading redemptive stories.

This book made me angry at racism and the evil it makes and perpetuates. It made me love hockey, even though I really can't be bothered to watch it these days, it reminds me of the love my grandfather had for the game. It made me proud…

This book had a huge impact on me. I am not a huge fan of hockey which is a large component of the book, but that did not matter. This book is an emotionally honest book. I highly recommend it.

Read this for a second time with my book club. The religious references became more apparent the second time, and one wonders if a thesis could be prepared comparing the role of Virgil in Dante's Inferno and Virgil in Indian Horse. Are…

Wagamese is the master of describing landscapes, but the overall story is just as well-crafted, albeit sad and touching. I definitely recommend it.

Great book, especially for those that enjoy the game of hockey. However, you don't have to like hockey to like this book. Follows Saul's journey of trying to find peace.
