Kazu Kibuishi's thrilling, NEW YORK TIMES bestselling series continues!Emily survived the chaos of the Guardian Academy, but Max Griffin has stolen the Mother Stone. With it, the Elf King forges new Amulets that will give him the power to invade and destroy the nation of Windsor. Emily and her friends lead the soldiers of the Cielis Guard in a fight to stop him, but Max stands in their way. Emily seeks information from the Voice of her Amulet, but instead she discovers the Voice is much more sinister than she ever could have imagined.
After Max has obtained the mother stone for the Elf King, he now has the power to make more amulets, and the power to destroy all of the kingdom, Windsor. Emily discovers this plan and learns a new perk of being a stonekeeper in doing so, to which she now hopes to stop the Elf King with the help of her stone, but Max stands in her way, and the voice within the stone turns out to be more threatening than helpful, like Emily once thought. I would rate this book a 4/5. It is one of the best books of the series so far with excellent drawings, like always, that helps to make the plot and battle scenes of this book great, and keep the readers wanting for more. Although the plot and the battle scene in this book are great, there is very little progression in the story when compared to past books, causing this book to not be a perfect 5/5. @Aylos of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
l start reading this book since september. well is very intresting book and l love it l wanted to read the book five but l couldn't so l asked my dad to make library card for me so that l can read it online. but their is 22 hold and 12 coppies and 0 avalilable. what this is crazy
We open with a flashback to Max's inner workings and then the pursuit is on. Another aspect of being a stonekeeper is revealed, Emily and her stone have their issues, and the Elf Prince goes forth with that knowledge to try and fix things before they even started. The artwork continues to be superb and, as is becoming usual, we end with a cliffhanger. This series continues to impress!
