Written by BRUCE JONES Art and cover by SAM KIETH In this original graphic novel, Batman meets his foe The Mad Hatter for the very first time - landing The Dark Knight in a Wonderland he could never have imagined, hot on the heels of a white rabbit. But is this strange place real or a hallucination? Robin and Alfred believe he's deep in delirium - but if that's the case, how does he manage to resolve several mysteries that have plagued Gotham City for decades... I really enjoyed the freshness of the change of art styles for batman. Went well with the theme. I think this is one of the better depictions of a Mad hatter story and I always love the detective aspect of batman not just a slobernocker of a story. I think there could have been a bit more depth added. Loved the variety of humor.

Sam Kieth ruined this book. There are so many lazy drawings like batman's cap starting from the top of his head in on panel and then from his neck down from another. The story is pretty simple but is under attack from the terrible art. I do still like Sam's use of sound effects.

Read Scott Snyder's Batman the Black Mirror instead of this.
