Some interesting info and interviews (some crucial), but lacking in overall contextual development, so feels disjointed and confusing.

This film is a vital and important herstorical document. Although I can't help but wonder if it will 'read' with a younger generation,.. so unaware about the realities of the recent past ?!? I wish there had been more footage of the actual artwork & of the performance art,.. and more coverage about the 'density' of the sexist backlash. (Kev's PICkS: ...for an illuminating 'follow-up', see "Iron Jawed Angels",.. about the hostility towards womens' suffrage.)

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”

We need a similar documentary on Canadian feminist artists. How fortunate to view interviews with American feminists who challenged the US art industry to become inclusive rather than exclusively male.
