This one was so dissed by the critics, that I expected next to nothing out of it. With such low expectations, I must say that it was a pleasant surprise. Yes, it's a somewhat shallow skim of the period and the talents involved, but it was a pleasure to find an even-handed treatment of a gay love-affair gone wrong between two very great artists, without a loaded agenda or special pleading. It also has some very splendid visual moments. Definitely worth a peek.

One of the worst, trashiest, most boring, poorly acted movies I have ever seen! A total waste of time!!! Pattinson's accent was atrocious for one who is supposed to be Spanish. The guy can't act! The whole thing was too ridiculous for words. Don't waste your time.

Apparently there is a substantial factual basis for a fascinating look into the lives and minds of two artists, Dali and Garcia Lorca, who were so incredibly different but who were strongly attracted to each other. The filmmaking might have been a little better, but it is really interesting and very well played.
