However, when he comes back to Bethany to tear down a controversial Jesus statue in a public park, he finds himself reliving his faith-filled past and the childhood trauma that drove him from God. I very much enjoy Karen Kingsbury's writings. Amazing how a group of people are so afraid of a loving God that they fear and try to get rid of anything that smacks of Christianity. Society would not survive without the basic laws, which, when looked at, are straight out of the Bible.

I am a huge fan of Karen Kingsbury, and have been for many years. I thoroughly loved the Redemption, Firstborn, and Sunrise series as well as many of the stand alone titles. But this particular book, for some reason i can not place, was so much more than the others. God seems to be even more prominent in "On every side" then Karen's other novels, which was a pleasant surprise! Overall, a great and powerful book that has definitely taught me a lesson in faith.
