Overall, Night Shift was very good. I found a large amount of the stories scarier that both of Stephen King's full-length novels I've read so far (Carrie and the Dead Zone). Some of the stories were better than others. Jerusalem's Lot is a H.P. Lovecraft homage, despite sharing a setting with 'Salem's Lot, which it also shares with One For The Road, which is set after 'Salem's Lot. Night Surf is set in the same post-apocalyptic world as The Stand. The other 17 stories are all standalone. Jerusalem's Lot, The Boogeyman, Gray Matter, Trucks, Quitters Inc, and Children of the Corn were my personal favorites. Night Shift is defiantly worth reading if you're a fan of Stephen King or horror fiction in general.

Full of imaginative ideas. Maybe too much for just one book. The author is so resourceful that you wonder where he gets his ideas and when does he have the time to write it all. It just blows me away.
