This volume is all about the life of Luba prior to her life in Palomar. Read only if you're obsessed with Luba. It seemed to drag on.

The last tenth of the volume is a story that involves Luba's eldest daughter, Marciella after she ran away to the states. It was more reminiscent of Gilbert's Palomar stories with multiple characters and overlapping plots.

An okay read but it too has made me want to move away from Palomar and find new stories.
