In this searing expose on the state of democracy in America and the fracturing of the Republican Party, directors Carl Deal and Tia Lessin follow the money behind the rise of the Tea Party. Alternately terrifying and funny, documentary is an essential and powerful portrait of our political times.

Interesting discussion on the current climate of the political scene. It goes without saying that the movie focuses against the RIght-Wing and the special interest but I wouldn't call it a Left-leaning/liberal film as most of the protestors in the films strike me as being Republican or center-right.

This documentary cost $150K financed by public broadcasting and was censored and pulled from being shown on PBS by the Koch brothers themselves who heavily fund PBS. They needn't have worried. The film is a timid, tepid, cautious 86 minutes which makes the viewer appreciate Michael Moore. To those who haven't been paying attention, it's an introduction to the influence that money has come to wield over politics. But if you have been even half paying attention, there are no surprises. "Searing expose" it's not. I wish.
