Stone Barrington's latest lady friend is full of surprises, both good and ill. A sensual woman with unexpected desires, Stone finds her revelations in the boudoir extremely agreeable. But on the other hand, she also has some unfinished business with a temperamental man who believes Stone is an intolerable obstacle in the way of his goals. In a cat-and-mouse game that trails from sun-drenched Bel-Air to a peaceful European estate and the wild New Mexican desert, Stone and his friend remain just one step ahead of their opponent. But their pursuer is not a man who can stand to be thwarted. Tensions are mounting, and may soon reach the boiling point.

Like the other readers, I was not impressed by the "Hollywood movie" feel! Perhaps a twelve year old boy would enjoy the unbelievable plot! This book has a slow start that eventually picks up towards its end. I won't read another of his books!

This is the first of his books that I have read...there will not be another. It pretty much reads like one male fantasy after another...Enormous wealth, multiple homes around the world, friends in powerful positions, flying your own plane, fancy cars, guns, beautiful women, sex (including threesomes suggested by his girlfriend)...on and on...the story might have been good if he could have focused a bit on it.

I really could not get in to this novel. The book didn't keep my interest until it started to pick up near the end. I don't believe I will read more Stone Barrington Novels.

With every new addition, I swear I'm done. Stone and company seem to get richer and less interesting with each new book. A more complex plot, less bling would be appreciated. I'd also like a reading level a little higher. I gave up the Spencer series, I can let go of Stone Barrington too.

Just another addition to the seemingly endless Stuart Woods pantheon of pot boilers cranked out without even having to invent new characters. Richer and with more celebrities on a first name basis, the central character makes love to the most beautiful, pauses to have an unlikely adventure or two, makes love a few more times, and prepares for the next episode. Woods knows what appeals his readers and lazily provides it with a bored sneer, one supposes.
