This book made me angry in how no one accepted responsibility after all was said and done. I have never read a book that has elicited the range of emotions that this has. I was just a toddler when this happened, but could understand both points of view, from the protesters and from the National Guard soldiers; they had no chain of command. It really opened my eyes as to what went on during the Vietnam War here in the United States.
