Just like every other book in this fantastic series by John Grisham, this book does not disappoint, if not overcoming the hype of the previous books. Theodore Boone, kid lawyer, who loves sticking his nose in others' businesses, is back again with one of the most dramatical plots ever. While this book may have less "law parts" of the story, this book is definitely interesting and suspenseful. With a cheating scandal on the rise, Theo doesn't know what to do-whether to forget about something that is wrong, or to rouse up trouble and let justice prevail(though that would mean a lot of complications).

Always love to read books in this series! Theodore Boone, kid lawyer, deals with a cheating scandal surrounding state middle school testing. I read the audio book version and Richard Thomas is the reader who does a great job!

A good book for preteens needs characters that the tweens can relate to, a good plot with a clear problem and satisfactory resolution. "The Scandal" meets all these conditions and gets my vote for a great book though I'm not a member of the target audience it is aimed at.
More importantly, the book discusses the merits and demerits of Standardized testing at the middle school level a very popular current topic.
All in all a good read- you'll do well to include this book on your Birthday or Christmas gift list for your favourite preteen.
