I really enjoyed this book. The author included an interesting variety of women in different fields, many of whom I'd never heard about before. I think this would be a great book to read with any young woman to encourage interest in science.

I smiled the whole time I was reading this. (OK, not the whole time. Some of them had pretty bummer lives.) I know it is for a younger audience, but the format of the writing got a little repetitive. Mostly the "moral" style final paragraph for each scientist. But the choice of women and the breadth of topics they worked in and their fearlessness made this such a great read. The art is also a fun style. When looking at photos or knowing what they look like in real life, I love that the art really seems to capture their faces even in such a simplified style. Lots of little extras, too, like an illustrated glossary and illustrations of different types of tools that scientists use. Really fun.

Don't let the size of this book fool you because all of the 127 pages are jam packed with a plethora of information! In addition to the engaging images, that encompass just about every available space on the page, is the perfect amount of knowledge to leave you wanting to know more about these women oft unheard. Both STEM and Art fields are where representation, diversity for women REALLY matters, yet is sorely lacking. Ms. Ignotofsky answers this siren call with Women in Science, a must read for everyone of all ages!

An amazing book brought to life with colorful artwork that's as vivacious as the women it chronicles. This is an empowering collection of female innovators and a history lesson on the many struggles women face while following their passions. Compiled in a way that is both engaging and easily digestible, it was something I could read a few pages of whenever I had a free moment.

I can't say enough about this book. It's simply stunning with its beautiful illustrations. It's educational but in a fun way to read or browse. It's all I am woman hear me roar! Damn these women are brilliant and everyone should pay homage.
