December 2016. [the author] and former Moscow bureau chief, quietly meets former MI6 officer Christopher Steele in a London pub to discuss President-elect Donald Trump's Russia connections. A month later, Steele's now-famous dossier sparks what may be the biggest scandal of the modern era. The names of the Americans involved are well-known--Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, Jared Kushner, George Papadopoulos, Carter Page--but here [the author] also shines a light on powerful Russian figures like Aras Agalarov, Natalia Veselnitskaya, and Sergey Kislyak, whose motivations and instructions may have been coming from the highest echelons of the Kremlin. Drawing on new material and his expert understanding of Moscow and its players, [the author] takes the reader through every bizarre and disquieting detail of the 'Trump-Russia' story--an event so huge it involves international espionage, off-shore banks, sketchy real estate deals, the Miss Universe pageant, mobsters, money laundering, poisoned dissidents, computer hacking, and the most shocking election in American history.

Satisfying read. Mr. Trump will always have a bad impression on me. He's not president worthy.

This book is science fiction at it's best...... Hillary Clinton and the Uranium One deal is where the real facts lie. Try Clinton Cash by Peter Schweizer, for one.

While not revealing a smoking gun, one comes away convinced that, in all likelihood, Trump did collude with Russia just so that he could win the election, and (a bit less likely) that there is some compromising material that Putin is holding over his head.

Now, if you're a Trump person, stop reading here, because I'm about to go into a rant.

I can understand very well that a lot of people are disgusted with out political system and feel left out by both Dems and Republicans, who are so busy catering to the rich and powerful.

But, at this stage, let's face reality! Trump has shown himself to be a self-centered, inept, corrupt, deceitful (and probably treasonous) buffoon with delusions of grandeur who, also favors the wealthy and influential and doesn't give a fig about the people who voted for him, but is still able to manipulate them whenever he wants.

If, after all this, some people still support him, then, indeed, they belong to the "basket of deplorables", and I have no respect for their intelligence.

"Collusion" is an excellent introduction to the largely unknown world of Russia, Ukraine and the now independent countries of the old Soviet block and how they relate to Trump and his band of lovers of the strong-men of that world. While most Americans relate to the democracies of UK, France, Germany and the Nordic countries, Trump, his children and his associates were making real estate/money-making deals with authoritarians in Russia, the ex-Soviet Bloc, etc. with oligarchs looking to make a few hundred million here and there. A good intro to Paul Manafort, Agalarov, Page, Flynn, Kislyak, and Christopher Steele and his infamous "dossier."

Very interesting, factual quick read.

While the author, a journalist with extensive experience reporting from Russia, admits that the collusion he alleges is "in certain key respects unprovable," he also finds startling connections between computer hacking, money laundering, poisoned dissidents, and the Miss Universe pageant. Written in December, this book has already been overtaken by current events. It remains, however, a fascinating exposé.

Absolute piece of garbage! The absolute definition of fake news! Don't waste your time with this poor excuse for a book! Should have been listed in the fiction section!
