I loved this book! Laird Hunt has created some of the most wonderful idioms and metaphors ever written. I experienced deep delight in the dialog of Neverhome's characters, and more than once had "milk spewing from the nose" moments of laughter at the twists of phrase that were brilliantly wrought. I will read this book again, and recommend it to others as a rare gem of modern American prose.

This author can pack a lot of story into very few pages. The writing was to be admired, although at times it was hard to see the big story. It was like trying to see a beautiful view through a keyhole. The story left me dissatisfied at the end but I still thought the writing was excellent.
