Set during the current series, this miniseries has Han and Chewie undertaking a mission for the Rebellion that might unmask a mole in their midst, all while using a galactic race as their cover. The creative team get the voices of the characters right throughout, and the story paces itself well.

Intergalactic fun with another author who understands the voices of the Star Wars characters. These stories are so good you could almost visualize in your head how well they would have fit in the Star Wars cinematic plane if they had actually been made into movies. Well done!

I didn't have any problem hearing Han's voice as I read his lines. This book stayed true to the character but gave him some room to grow with a compelling new story in the expanded Star Wars universe.

Good story with good art, we get a race, a rebel mission, spies, double-crosses and the last member of an alien species. The pace is good, and han is characterized well. A good read for both the die-hard and the casual Star Wars fan.

I thought this book did a good job keeping the action going, however, there wasn't a whole lot of character development. The Dragon Void race was definitely believable, but it almost seemed like a podrace in space. Overall, it rang true to the Star Wars universe, and I viewed it as an enjoyable addition to the canon.

Marvel comics art does not do very well with spacecraft and space stories-- it tends to be too cluttered and blocky, and there is little impression of movement. Whatever you think of Dark Empire, it had some of the best space art in terms of composition and clarity. Since most of this trade paperback takes place in space, that's a bit of a problem. There's not a very strong villain, other than the space race itself. The Imperials pop up throughout, but it's entirely unclear whether they are hunting the heroes or just putting a damper on the space poker run which forms the bulk of this story.
