I enjoyed listening to the audio recording of this book. The narrators were excellent and kept me involved in the story right to the end. A peaceful relaxing story with some meaningful messages. Great for a long car journey.
This enchanting novel is set on the beautiful Pacific Northwest coast. Fourteen-year-old Trevor and his father journey to the family's crumbling turn-of-the-century mansion where he meets his addled grandfather and eccentric Aunt for the first time. In addition, his great uncle's ghost shares with Trevor the family's history of logging and forbidden love. Wonderful character development and a plot that surprises.
I really wanted to love this book. I had high expectations because I loved The Art Of Racing In The Rain. This was meh. It started good but it was slow and hokey.
