Written from a dog’s perspective, this book provided some insight into what school might be like for a boy with autism. It was based on the author’s son and his dog, so it seemed realistic.

The book CHESTER AND GUS is a lovely story about a service dog in training called Chester and his person Gus, an autistic 10 year old. It is not sad at all! It is about the slow process Chester is willing to go through to be a help to Gus. The story is told from Chester's point of view. I loved the book!
