I would agree with the previous reviewer who said this book felt rushed. While the pictures are wonderful, there is really nothing new here. It's like we've seen all of the recipes before. I have read several of her cookbooks and in this newest one, she seems extraordinarily fixated on telling us how handsome and fit she thinks her husband is. I finished it quickly so others behind me could have their turn, but I did want to say this: PLEASE do not turn down the pages of a library book. Someone before me did this, plus left sticky notes as bookmarks which did not come all the way off. This is NOT your book - it belongs to someone else, so please treat a library book with the respect it deserves. Many thanks.

I'm sorry, but this cookbook is a real dud. It's almost like the author (Ree Drummond) just had to write another book to please her publisher. The Hamburger Steak with Mushroom Gravy, for example, was flavorless--look for her Salisbury Steak recipe instead (not in this book). Also, Chicken Picatta is not typically made with heavy cream. Enough said, these are just a few examples. Very disappointed here.

Absolutely loved this book! One I will buy. show and has sEvery recipe is taken from hertep by step picture instructions. Drummond, a long time t.v. fixture has another winner with every day meals made with ingredients that you will have in your pantry.
She also photographs her family and farm life which adds to the book.

Fabulous Book!

I really enjoy Ree Drummond's cookbooks and read them as if they were a coffee table book. Her conversational style of recipe writing interwoven with family anecdotes and photos makes for an engaging read. The recipes are delicious too!
