I had a fun to read this book. I mimicked baby bird's and mamma birds expressions. My daughter could not stop laughing and asked me to copy them more and more. My daughter is going to go to kindergarten in two weeks. She seems nervous and concerned even if she is excited about meeting new friends. Maybe, she is concerned about something which did not happen yet just like the baby bird. She wanted to know why mamma bird pushed her baby bird out of their nest. We had a long conversation after reading this book.

I found this hard to read with my children, but great for them to read on their own... because there are really no words! The pictures are bright & bold. They're done comic book style, which is really neat, so the children can pick-up and tell the story on their own as they go along. It also really touches home on how children feel when they're afraid. My toddlers enjoyed reading this to each other!

Baby bird has an active imagination that prevents him from leaving the nest and flying. However, Mama Bird is firm in her ways and pushes him to fly with one word, "Nope!". After a loving cuddle, Mama Bird flings him out of the nest. Cute story that parents can relate to and kids with fear issues might enjoy too.

It's time for baby bird to learn how to fly! Or at least, that's what mommy bird thinks. Baby bird looks down and has other feelings... Nope!

This fun, mostly wordless picture book is great for talking about conquering fears, families and growing up.
