good adaptation of the E Nesbit story set in Edwardian England which is told from the children's perspective
An entertaining and action-filled chronicle of childhood adventures in rural England in the early 1900s. A landslide threatens to derail a approaching passenger train. Can the children stop the speeding train in time to avert catastrophe? A foreign stranger appears on the train station platform looking for his estranged family. Can the children help to reunite the family? A youth goes missing in the train tunnel where he may be killed by a passing train. Can the children rescue the youth? Ever present behind the adventures is the mystery of the disappearance of their father. Watch this performance to find out the resolution. Many glimpses of steam locomotives, horses pulling carriages and wagons, and other details of rural life a hundred years ago.
A good family type movie.
