This book reminds me of the quote "if you love something, set it free"...
Meredith Ann Pierce explores what it means to love, the sacrifice of love, and manages to set her story in a folk-tale base so we can see the contrasts of the beauty of having a human heart and understanding to the comparison of the hearts of myths and legends.
