Nothing says Punk Rock like a 3CD+1DVD Special 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition
Love love love it. Stunning example of punk music of the 70's, before the hipsters killed punk. Johnny Rotten's tuneless singing is distinctive, and very intriguing. I picked this album up when I was about 13 years old, and fell in love with it. My favorite song is No Feelings, especially its shamelessly obnoxious lyrics "I got no emotions for anyone else/You better understand I'm in love with myself." I encourage anyone fed up with today's cliche and ambiguous music to listen to this!
To see a 2.5 star rating for this LP is strange. It's a love it or hate affair and, given it crude language and offensive stance many people would despise the album. Consider, however, that back in the 1980's Rolling Stone Magazine gave it the #2 of all time right after The Beatles "Sgt. Peppers" and you've got to realize that it's not just the punk fans who scream about the lasting value of the LP. Abrasive, catchy and incredibly original, this album is notable and important long after the mainstream rock that dominated the 1970's is long long gone.
Classic punk that will never die.
Loud, Obnoxious and very rude, and remember mostly done in 1976, so WAY before it's time as well.
Woke up a slumbering music industry with a solid boot to the groin.
If you don't like this, you just aren't living.
