Anna Pigeon, park ranger and fortyish heroine is back. Anna has been assigned to work on a scientific project that has her hanging out bait of blood and guts to attract the big grizzlies in Glacier National Park. When a body turns up in a remote corner of the park, and it becomes clear that death was met at the hands of a human rather that the claws of a grizzly, Anna goes on the hunt for a killer.

Anna Pigeon leaves her ranger post in the deep south for a chance to study grizzly bears in Waterton/Glacier National Peace Park. Almost immediately, she becomes involved in a bear attack, a search and rescue mission, and a murder investigation. Anna works against time to solve the crime with few leads and more than one suspect. She is desperate to find a connection between the few pieces of information but afraid that whoever killed Carolyn Van Slyke has already left the park. Nevada Barr weaves the beauty of the mountains and the majesty of grizzlies into this suspenseful novel. Blood Lure is the natural choice for any fan of Nevada Barr.

Interesting story. I like the setting in a park that I have visited.
