Publishers Weekly called Kelner's sassy Southern whodunits "lively, light-hearted and ebullient." Now, in her seventh outing, a radiantly expectant Laura Fleming heads back to her hometown of Byerly, North Carolina, for a holiday-time production of A Christmas Carol -- and murder.

Another enjoyable book in the Laura Fleming mystery series. There's a mixture of laughter and tears in this story, just like in real life. All the wonderful characters in Byerly make an appearance, with some new additions. The Southern setting and culture are there, but aren't "over the top" as in some Southern-based mysteries. The mystery aspect of the book is just as interesting as the characters are, and I highly recommend this fun series.
