The Mollusk is filled with water-themed songs, as well as the "soothing" vocals of Gene Ween. Many songs further display Dean Ween's guitar skills that became more evident on their previous two releases. Easily the band's most unique and artistic album, musically speaking. Each song paints a picture in your head, in psychedelic brown. Take "The Mollusk" and "Mutilated Lips" for a reference point. The Mollusk is an excellent choice to anyone looking for a new musical experience that won't dissappoint. Easily one of Ween's most accessible records for people that think (falsely accused) that their a "joke band". After years of listening to this album, The Mollusk never disappoints.
