this is the first book by Mercedes Lackey that I read and it got me interested in reading more and I found out that it was the 3 book in a series now I have read the first 4 and the 9th one just got book # 5 in the series and can't wait to start reading it

I found this book to suffer from too much build up and not enough pay off. The one thing I did enjoy about this story was the interaction between Eleanor and elemental creatures. The climatic fight scene leaves much to be desired. It's not a horrible work, merely forgettable.
