Add a CommentThe book pulled me in and made me feel like I was there with Billy. The movie did not do that for me. Had I not read the book before seeing the movie I would have been disappointed and possibly not discovered the value in this story.
Overall, I love the message of working for the things, in this case dogs, we want so badly. Enjoying the time spent with them and the sadness we feel when they go away. Very good messages for children to learn early in life.
I would recommend watching this movie as a family and then discussing what each person learned from it.
i like the book better than the movie and my class really enjoyed watching this movie after reading the book
GREAT
I don't really like dramatic, sad movies, but I love this movie, the acting wasn't great, the book is way better, but in the end I started crying, and most of the time in the end of most sad movies I grimace at their hard efforts to make the audience cry.
so sad,eh
this was not my favorite but okay to watch.
GREAT FOR FAMILY VIEWING.
Book is 1000x better. The movie omitts many important parts of the plot. No character of the dogs showned in the movie, unfortunately...
Amaizing, well done!
Some parts are sad.
