I am in love with this series! I absolutely loved reading this book.
I loved reading about the struggles that Hezekiah would have gone through, like learning to be king, letting go of his harem in order to obey God’s law about only having one wife, struggling to not have an heir, and struggling with having faith and trusting that God can save him and his people from the Assyrians.
I also loved reading about Jerusha and the firsthand horrors that she lived through for years while being slave to the Assyrian soldiers. Then the struggles she endured while already being physically free but not feeling worthy to live and enjoy life again. I loved reading about how God made her feel spiritual free and worthy of love and forgiveness.

I was afraid this book was going to be hard to follow because of all the bible characters, i usually have trouble remembering, but it was quite the oposite. I usually like a modern day subject but grabbed this book in haste. I highly recommend it. It has romance, adventure, morals and is so beautifully written, you feel like you're in the book. Enjoy! A must read!
