Well written, lots of repartee between the Inspector and her Sargent. Interesting crime, murder investigation. Translated from the original Spanish. The inspector a woman is well drawn not only displaying investgative skill which got her in charge but also what it is like to be a woman in a demanding job and her place in society. Much the same tone as J. Evanvitch's books but better written. give it a try
