This is one of my favorite books. Anytime I need to feel less stressed or need a laugh I pull this book out. It starts funny and ends funny, and has a good plot to boot.

Jennifer Crusie's novels always provide laugh out loud moments for me. This novel features "Cranky Agnes" Crandall who looks for love in all the wrong places (she has penchant for hitting men with frying pans when she gets angry). Agnes is frantically trying to pull a wedding together for her best friend's daughter Maria in record time to save her house from foreclosure. As she overcomes obstacle after obstacle, a memorable cast of characters parade through her life -- Shane the hitman, the demented grandmother of the bride, Garth, formerly known as Two Wheels, and Hot Pink & Serese, two flamingos who want to be somewhere else. A great escape novel.

As an audiobook junkie, I reject any book as a loser if I can't tolerate the first CD. That's the case here. Perhaps the narrator was poor. But I think the writing itself was poor.
I threw this one back early in the game.
