The particular disc I had was catching and skipping every fifteen seconds which I tried to endure for 40 minutes, until I gave up on it. The bonus material, especially the first one I really enjoyed; it is witty and wise.

The play itself is quite weird, but in the Extras there is a radio address Shaw gave to 6th form students on the BBC radio back in 1937 that so hilarious.

I tried to find the text online and came up with a Google book title, but it only lets you read the even numbered pages online.

I don't know if the other DVDs from this series give the same extra options on the menu, but be sure to listen to his talk advising the young on how to get on in life. It's a must hear!!!!

As to the play itself, it does keep you engaged trying to figure what is going on, but not my favorite.

I think the Captain is the only completely likable character in it. Perhaps because he has learned how to navigate life while the rest of the characters are completely adrift.
