"No wonder Benni Harper fans are so faithful." - Publishers Weekly.

Benni Harper, curator of the Josiah Sinclair Folk Art Museum and Artist's Co-Op, is looking forward to the opening of the Outsider's Art exhibit. One of the museum's most generous patrons, Constance Sinclair, orders Benni to find out who killed her closest friend Pinky Edmondson. Though the medical examiner concludes Pinky died from a heart attack, Constance thinks otherwise. Now, in addition to her various other obligations, Benni finds herself questioning members of the exclusive '49 Club, whose members number exactly forty-nine. New admissions are impossible unless an existing member dies. Benni must crack this case before another gourmet goose is cooked.

Another interesting Benni Harper mystery. This book deals with family relationships as well as the mystery. My least favorite character, Gabe, plays a big part in this story. I wish he would grow up!

Good story and characters. But, you will enjoy it more if you have read previous titles in the series.
