I didn't enjoy this book as much as I thought I would. The narrators were AWESOME!, probably the only reason I read the book to the end. I know the kind of writer Poe was, but I still found this book a bit too much of death, doom & gloom for my taste. The stories I enjoyed the most were those that were in the 10-15 min range. Anything longer than that & I began to lose interest.

Age recommendation: 14 & over

On a scale of 1 - 10 stars, I give it 5.

Exceptionally well read! The tempo, volume, and intonation are altered to suit what is being read (many other audiobooks are read robotically). The titles of the works are not always announced, but there is often a gap between stories. The best parts are the recordings of some great poems: 'Raven', 'Annabel Lee', and 'Eldorado'.

An excellent reading of Poe's stories. Very well done. I am finding that it does need to be turned up quite a ways to hear it though.

Amazing. Rathbone and Price are the perfect narrators for Poe's stories and poems.
