I loved Enzo. He was so funny and loyal to Denny. I also loved how in the end, Enzo and Denny got reunited, but this time Enzo had opposable thumbs!

This book has been on about a zillion best seller lists. Now I fully get that often with books you have to be in the right "headspace" to enjoy a particular book at a specific time. Maybe it was the wrong time for me..I gave it a full disc listen...nope, couldn't do it.

Highly Recommend this book!! The reading of this book was excellent. The story is well-written. Denny and Enzo are characters you will love, cheer on, laugh with, and share their pain. It is a story told by Enzo, the dog. His dog characteristics are captured so well. If you are a dog lover/owner you will see how, like Enzo, your dog is trying to communicate with you.

The "Art of Racing in the Rain" has a lot of meaning - mainly it is about not giving up. Enzo is very philosophical about life and his purpose.

Warning: you will laugh yourself silly at some of his antics and methods of communication. You will curse the cruel & mean spirited characters and you may cry at the ending even though, in a way, it is a happy ending.

Listening to Enzo, hearing the story told from the dog's point of view was priceless. Very wise dog this Enzo. I learned alot about life from the analogy of racing in the rain. A book worth revisiting.

This novel, narrated by a wise old dog named Enzo, is entertaining, life affirming and sometimes funny. A perfect, beautiful ending, too. I loved it.
