I was very unhappy with this book because it is not clearly marked as a book about sexual orientation. In fact it's not revealed until the end that it is two males marrying. They call the "second groom" Jamie and have him wear gender neutral clothing the entire book. I should be allowed to choose when I talk to my children about homosexuality and not have a sneaky agenda shoved at them in the form of a cute looking children's book. This book should be clearly marked or put in the parenting section. I am dissapointed that I need to preread my children's books because of adult subjects being thrown in.

This is a heartwarming story about reassurance and embracing change. Chloe is worried that her favorite uncle Bobby will not spend as much time with her after he gets married, but once she spends time together with her uncle and his fiance Jamie, she wishes they were both her uncles, and gets her wish. Bobby and Jamie being a same-sex couple is incidental to the story and not a focal point. A strong story with a great message and diverse characters!

Yes it's a children's book, and though I'm, certainly not the audience the book was intended to attract... I did really like this book. Cute and a good story to go with it; all children should read it.

A bit bland, but does the job. Chloe's sad and confused when her uncle announces that he's marrying Jamie--not because Jamie is another male, but because she's afraid it means her uncle will have less time for her. After spending time with both of them, she realizes she's gaining an uncle, not losing one. All characters are furry creatures (guinea pigs?), not humans.
