Beginning with asking us to believe three young people would ever, under any circumstances, go anywhere without their cell phones, it gets worse. (A couple of big friendly malemutes playing the part of man-eating wolves is just one example.)

They could have done better. This was utterly disappointing. "Oh no, a man jumped and broke his leg." Then everyone was eaten by wolves but the blonde who peed her pants? Not worth your time.

Unbelievably stupid, unrealistic, AND grotesque.
I wish I could give it a negative rating.

I have to admit I'm absolutely flabbergasted by the people below that thought the redeeming characteristic was that it was realistic!! Are they sane!?!
As a life long skier; plus: racer, backpacker, climber, outdoor enthusiast, pilot, sailor, survivalist, and film maker, with A LOT of experience, I can tell you that this has got to be one of the most UNREALISTIC things I have ever seen! Then it goes down from there. (As a movie, the dialog, character behavior and reactions, etc., etc.) I'm thinking their market was for Jr HIgh students, but even of those, only particularly clueless ones.

Very good movie. Seen it many times. Well worth a watch.

Often implausible, boring dialogue, long stretches wondering why none of the characters attempts to do anything. Not knowing weather conditions before you head out, didn't tell anyone they were going, going up after dark, no cellphones, no personal locator beacons, zero knowledge of basic survival skills, no flares, no trail mix, girl had a lighter but never used it. SO... let's play: I probably would've used an article of clothing to zipline down to the lower chair and all at once while we all still had strength. Or use hands and legs wrapped around cable to move down it. Light branches with fire to keep wolves away.

It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained and interesting. But it was NOT worth the long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.

This movie was entertaining and made you think about what would be the best way to survive such a nightmare. I was surprised that none of these three kids had a cellphone on them but I guess this wouldn't be much of a thriller if they could have phoned for help.

Not bad. Slow in some spots. Somewhat entertaining.

this was a slow starter, but once it got going, was a "edge of your seat" type of movie. the kids were incredibly dumb about the choices that they made, but if they would have been smart, there would have been no movie. really? zip up your coat all the way, put your hat over your face, huddle together, pull your legs up, dont jump, wait for the wolves to go away before you jump down from the tower.........the list goes on and on...................

After watching "Hard Candy" this was the other movie we watched. At first, it seem kind of corny and low budget and the sound was so-so, so i wasn't expecting much. I mean, how could you get stuck on a ski lift and no one knows? And would it be that horrible or scary? Ah,YEAH!! When that dude jumped from the ski lift, and my friend was screaming at my television trying to tell him not to, i thought this is corny. All he's going to do is freeze to death and feel like an idiot with a broken leg. However, when those wolves showed up, the story for me became much more interesting. The sound of the wolves howling was a very cool surprise on my HOMETHEATER! I must also mention that the sound of the wind, rain, thunder, and trees sound good. So much for what i said earlier. Now this movie had my complete attention. Once those wolves showed up my friend started yelling at the television telling the two people left on the lift to get down and help the guy. See why i invite her over? This movie along with "Hard Candy" was a good movie weekend. Both films had my friend in full effect. So i'm giving this movie 4 stars. A decent story that turned out to be good, good acting, and my friend directing from my futon. A large bowl of vegetable beef or chicken noodle soup, several slices of whole wheat bread or saltine crackers, hot chocolate or tea, and the lights off.
