This series is AMAZING & AWESOME!!
Professor Brian Cox exudes boyish charm & his excitement about the Solar System & physics really shines through, as he explains all the wonderous things of our Solar System. I'm pretty sure that his classes much be chock full at whatever University he is a professor at; he's just that much fun to listen to! I haven't even quite finished this series but I have to come give it 5 stars & a rave review! I hope that anyone out there who is even a tiny bit interested in space or physics or even just a bit curious about pretty much all planet-related stuff has the opportunity to watch this series.
Way to go, BBC, I think you've found your "David Attenborough" for a whole new generation!

I love this series as well as Wonders of the Universe. Brian Cox is captivating, informative and relatable. Your time will be well spent watching this series, especially if you have any interest in the solar system and universe. These two series are what I judge every other documentary that I've seen by and they are still the best that I've seen.

I loved this one (also loved Wonders of the Universe). Totally engaging and engrossing--I wish series like this had been available when I was a kid!

In this DVD Professor Brian Cox makes the solar system and some concepts about the solar system much easier to comprehend and understand.

An extraordinary primer to understanding some of our solar system's more dramatic phenomena. Brian Cox is a down-to-earth, charismatic and enthusiastic host, who will certainly be a hit with all ages. He travels the globe to show examples of how the amazing phenomena of the solar system function on their respective planets/moons. The doc-makers play up the beauty of the landscapes, matting the piece with ethereal rock music to engage youthful audiences, but the editing never betrays the serious grandeur of the subject matter: this is not a piece aimed at teens, but teens will find the material easy to penetrate. If you're looking for a richly-layered, detail-heavy, furthering doc about up-to-date discoveries of the solar system, you might be disappointed, but if you're looking for an entryway into understanding some of the most amazing, humbling cosmic phenomena right in our own backyard, Wonders of the Solar System is very much worth its salt.

Quite interesting and educational, beautiful and conteporary. A bit too much repetition to my taste (but some can find it a useful tool for understanding concepts better)
