While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, close to 50 years' worth of sewing tells me these project ideas are ... lacking (to be kind). I actually wonder at the fact that this book was professionally published.

While fat quarters are the basis for these patterns, any seamstress with a few years' experience probably has plenty of "scraps" on hand to make these items. Some ideas are great, some are "sloppy", and some are just "busy-work". In this case, give your scraps to your children or grandchildren, instead.
