A thoroughly enjoyable second installment in a solid Regency series. As with the first book, I wish Jeffries would tilt the balance a biiiiiit more in favor of witty banter instead of tortured backstory, but I liked both protagonists, and the Sharpe family dynamics continue to be one of the best parts of this series. Will definitely be reading the remaining three.
