I generally like Lutz's books, but this one bored me so much that I couldn't finish it. It just went on and on...

As for that Pearl, I find her extremely obnoxious and can't think why any man would desire her, what with her moodiness and hard attitude. Still, no accounting for taste I suppose. But it made me think that Frank Quinn is a bit of a numbskull. I hope he smartens up in the next book.

Entertaining but lacking that "X" factor (no pun intended with the title) that makes it stand out. The end was lame. I also must say it's extremely irritating that a book as long as this one is so tightly bound that it's almost impossible to read the middle without cracking the spine of the book
