What a great insight into that "NOWHERE" Lennon Boy. Surrounded by weird people and everything from Tchaikovsky to Elvis ... no wonder John Lennon had to write songs about his turbulent life!

I like the Beatles. I like biopics. I love movies that incorporate music. So I had to give this movie a go, and I am soooo glad I did!

The acting was phenomenal, really. Aaron Johnson played Lennon, I wasn't expecting him to be so GOOD! I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for his movies from now on. Everyone else was particularly good as well. I definitely enjoyed it, and have already recommended it to friends. Can easily see myself watching again.

Well acted British partial biopic. Aaron Johnson nailed it as a young pained & rebellious Lennon. Great supporting cast, especially Kristin Scott Thomas as aunt Mimi. Sad, sad beginning (& end) of his life. Explains the personality of the adult man somewhat. Recommended.

Loved this film. I dig British character films and Beatles music (although not John Lennon particularly), so that probably helped. But I thought it was brilliantly written and acted - witty, charming and compelling. I watched it twice back to back, and loved it even more the second time.
