In the late summer of a long-ago year, a killer arrived in a small city. In the space of a few months, Alton Turner Blackwood brutally murdered four families. His savage spree ended only when he himself was killed by the last survivor of the last family. Two decades later, someone is murdering families again, re-creating Blackwood's crimes. Homicide detective John Calvino, who stopped Blackwood when he was fourteen, knows his family is the copycat's next intended target.

Rented the audio book from the library and had to return it without finishing listening. Either I have outgrown scary type books - or I simply didn't want to think about the idea of what the night knows.

I found myself rooting out loud for the protaganist (s) in "What the Night Knows". This Koontz book is a good metaphor for how the power of how our inner thought lives can influence what types of things we invite into our material lives. The "Law of Attraction" for good or bad, I suppose. The characters are well rounded and interesting and you really start to become invested in their wellness.
