An interesting novel but too many coincidences, it wraps up too conveniently. The love story is a little corny for me, but I am a cynic!

This is a prequel to the previously-written Barbara Holloway books. It gives the back story of Martin and BInnie, where they came from, how they came to be in Eugene, and what the strong connection is that they have to Barbara. This connection was rather mysterious and unexplained in the previous books in the series, so this was a satisfying fill-in of missing details.

There are two holds on this item. One is available at Kilbride, from which we do not get holds. I am in position 1 for the next available copy, but I cannot see anywhere that tells me when it might be available. Maybe I missed that part?
