This series is epic. James Robinson clearly had a begining, middle and end planned out for this book. That's right, an END! How many comics are so complete? There are things in the very last chapter (omnibus 6), that pay off stuff that happed in the first book. Every character is developed. As you read you really feel they are people who you care about, you relate with. Now, I am a new dad, and so perhaps this story is more meaningfull to me than it may be for others. This is a story about legacy, what kind of man you are, what you pass on to your kids. There are a few panels that were so profound that I took pictures with my phone, so I could remember them. It is not like anything else you have ever read, and if you trust me and read the whole series you will not be dissapointed.
