This film samples old films and newsreels for images. It has wonderful pictures of Dawson City during the Gold Rush of 1898. The film shows the abandoned swimming pool where silent film reels were dumped to fill in the pool to provide a level surface for an outdoor hockey rink. Silent film reels were also dumped into the Yukon River or burned. If you enjoy history or are a fan of silent films, I would rate "Dawson City: Frozen Time" at 4.0 stars.
